Heavy-duty multi-talent under and above water Product News
The new surface-mounted spotlight 4.0290 Proves itself in extremely harsh environments
With their 4.0290 surface-mounted spotlight, with degree of protection IP68, Wibre has extended their CENTUM°° series for underwater lighting into an all-rounder with the capability of submerging up to 15 metres, yet also showing top performance above the water. Thanks to the additional degree of protection IP69, it even proves itself in particularly robust applications, since it remains unaffected in high pressure and high jet water temperatures.
The spotlight in high-quality V4A 316 Ti stainless steel, fixable and adjustable from 0 to 90° by means of a novel adjustment mechanism, offers a variety of colour temperatures and coloured light as well as five different beam angles from spot to diffuse. This large repertoire allows precisely realisable lighting concepts for larger fountains, water fountains, bridges and water-side architecture. With above-water illumination, buildings, urban spaces and sculptures benefit from the spotlight's sophisticated lighting technology and present themselves in their best light. Even the spotlight itself is quite impressive in such surroundings, as its appealing design and matt epolished stainless steel give it an object character.
The powerful underwater version convinces with a maximum lighting power of 4,600 lumen. Eight high-performance LEDs each generate the colour temperatures cold white, neutral white or warm white. The same applies to the version that can be used both under and above water, which achieves 2,900 to 3,550 lumen. A version with RGBW technology on a multi-chip basis for coloured lighting effects can also produce the three white colour temperatures. On request, Wibre supplies the 4.0290 spotlight particularly warm light similar to that from an incandescent lamp (2,700 K). Versions with integrated power supply for 230 V operation further expand the already wide range of applications.

Targeted for the long term
The innovative adjustment mechanism made of full stainless steel withstands even the largest amounts of water. In addition, to the continuous adjustment, the spotlight can be safely set to 0, 15, 30, 45, 60, 75 and 90 degrees. As a result, the position cannot be loosened, for example by water pressure. As an aid during alignment, a scale on the joint is provided ensuring uniform alignment for larger quantities.
