The town of Kronach, "the gateway to the Frankenwald", charms the whole year with the wonderfully preserved old town, the historical half-timbered buildings and the Rosenberg fortress. Nevertheless, the organizers have succeeded in going a step further and created "Kronach illuminates" with a completely new experience. The old town and other parts of the village are placed in the limelight each year in May.
