Qatar’s leading trade fair and congress center on West Bay appeals with its extraordinary architecture and spectacular lighting design. Five exhibition halls with a total area of almost 30,000 square meters, a generous outdoor area and the adjacent exhibition park catapult this object to one of the most important congress centers on the Persian Gulf. The highlights of the lighting design are the recessed floor luminaires in the outdoor area on the east-west side of the building. The special requirements on the part of the client and the prevailing climate called for a unique, special design. The approx. 80 centimeter wide luminaire is flush with the granite slabs, and great importance was attached to precision and accuracy of fit. Highest quality stainless steel and an extremely thick safety glass pane with anti-slip coating withstand the high loads and ensure safe access to the luminaires.

Inside, there is a sophisticated thermal management system that protects the LED technology from the extremely high heat. The complete luminaire meets the IP68 standard, making it permanently water- and dust-proof. A total of over 700 luminaires have been manufactured and supplied.
